I have a little toot to toot…

Last month I was surfing some online scrapbook shops and stumbled upon a designer whose papers and products I had not had the pleasure of seeing before. That designer is Teresa Collins… as I added some of her products to my shopping cart, I only wish I could have bought it all!

Before I knew it the man in brown was delivering my little package, and I soon made this layout which I posted a couple of weeks ago. I also sent it to Teresa, who posted it on her blog here!

That was a really fun thing to wake up to today!

2Sketches4You – Kazan#22

Haven’t done any sketches for a couple of weeks so it’s nice to make one and share. This one is Kazan’s sketch #22 at 2Sketches4You.

Here’s my take on it, using some CTMH papers, and a stamp from Teresa Collins. I love these papers! My bow looks a little smooshed, sorry, that’s my scanner’s fault…

I’ve used popdots to lift up the sentiment a little bit. This was a quick and fun card to make! Thanks for looking!

Big Picture Scrapbooking – Scrappin’ on a Shoestring

This is my first Big Picture Scrapbooking class. It was only $20, and it will last for 4 weeks… this is my first project (well, second) from it. Actually the first project was a little product inventory mini book that you can take with you to the LSS to keep from buying more of what you already have! It’s cute, you’re supposed to embellish it and make it all fancy, but I looked at it as something utilitarian… cute papers sans embellishments. The Layout project this week is to make a page using something sparkly, something with a decorative edge and something that sticks. I believe I have all bases covered here.shan_danielleswimming1

The fun thing about this class is – NO TRIPS TO THE SCRAPBOOK STORE ALLOWED. I’m forced to dig into my stash. I’ve used Love Elsie, Bazzill, CTMH and DCWV papers; CTMH stamps and flower; some sticky pearls (can’t remember who makes them); a Martha Stewart border punch; K&Co stickers; Cosmo Cricket chipboard letters… waxy flax and a button from ye olde stash.

We had a long and lovely girls weekend in Las Vegas last weekend. My daughter and SIL are owners in Worldmark and she used her points for a fun condo… it was so luxurious. My mom and cousin Jana and her daughter Danielle were there. We had such a great time staying up into the night and talking… it was such a fun trip and ended all too soon. Ah well, I have lots to scrap as a result…

Mojo Monday #76

This is my take on the Mojo Monday #76 sketch:

Mojo Monday #76

Mojo Monday #76

Here is a 5″ x 7″ birthday card that I made for my cousin Jana who I will get to see in Las Vegas this weekend, YAY! I’ve used CTMH papers called “Let’s Get Together”. The stamp image is from Magnolia and it’s a Tilda stamp I think — I just can’t remember the name of it… I love her little hat. I just colored her in with regular colored pencils. Ribbons and button are from my stash; the corner punch and slot punch are both from Stampin Up! and the sentiments are also from CTMH. Thanks for looking!
