Big Picture Scrapbooking – Scrappin’ on a Shoestring

This is my first Big Picture Scrapbooking class. It was only $20, and it will last for 4 weeks… this is my first project (well, second) from it. Actually the first project was a little product inventory mini book that you can take with you to the LSS to keep from buying more of what you already have! It’s cute, you’re supposed to embellish it and make it all fancy, but I looked at it as something utilitarian… cute papers sans embellishments. The Layout project this week is to make a page using something sparkly, something with a decorative edge and something that sticks. I believe I have all bases covered here.shan_danielleswimming1

The fun thing about this class is – NO TRIPS TO THE SCRAPBOOK STORE ALLOWED. I’m forced to dig into my stash. I’ve used Love Elsie, Bazzill, CTMH and DCWV papers; CTMH stamps and flower; some sticky pearls (can’t remember who makes them); a Martha Stewart border punch; K&Co stickers; Cosmo Cricket chipboard letters… waxy flax and a button from ye olde stash.

We had a long and lovely girls weekend in Las Vegas last weekend. My daughter and SIL are owners in Worldmark and she used her points for a fun condo… it was so luxurious. My mom and cousin Jana and her daughter Danielle were there. We had such a great time staying up into the night and talking… it was such a fun trip and ended all too soon. Ah well, I have lots to scrap as a result…
