July 12, 1959

My mom was 18, my dad was 20 — and they snuck out of L.A. with two friends, to elope in Tijuana, Mexico because Dad was too young to get married without permission from my grandparents! Fast forward 50 years, 4 kids, 9 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild later, through life’s ups and downs, they are still together… I wish we could be together on their day to celebrate, but we’ll have to postpone that until Christmastime when we all go to Arizona from Minnesota, Idaho and Utah to celebrate as a family.gummi_gramper1

I woke up way too early this morning and couldn’t go back to sleep — I think I was dreaming about this card. 7-4-09,_CPS_123This is my first CPS sketch and it was fun! My papers are Coredinations and miscellaneous papers from JoAnn Crafts; stamps are CTMH, punches are SU! and CM, and miscellaneous embellies from my stash. CPS Card 002

Off to get this card in the mail — thanks for looking!

I just happened on your log while looking for a company that was at the GASC selling page kits. Then I came across your blog about your parents 50th wedding anniversary.
I just returned from England after celebrating my parents 50th wedding anniversary and they were married July 11th, 1959. Wow!! What are the chances I’d see this on your blog…I was supposed to visit your blog for some reason, it must be fate. Congratulations to your parents and happy blogging to you :o)
