I’m sitting at my desk by the window looking at 4′ tall berms of dirty snow alongside my front curb… there are coke-slurpee-like puddles in the street and under all that snow is the planter I put in last spring and I can’t wait to get flowers into it. It’s still at least two months until bulb flowers even have a chance at blooming! For me, February is the longest, not the shortest month! The card below is more for myself, but I’m sure I can think of somebody to send it to.
I recently purchased my first digital stamp from Bee-Crafty where there are some super sweet images. I also recently splurged on Copics, so I’m still getting my feet wet with those. Papers are Let’s Get Together by CTMH, with gems and ribbon from my stash.
My next card uses the same image and is my take on the CPS 153 sketch.
I used papers from Creating Keepsakes (from JoAnn’s), Heidi Grace rub-ons, a stamp from CTMH and some pearlies. I colored the girl in with Copics. Thanks for stopping by my blog today!
The kids are out, hubby is sick, so I’m having a quiet night paper crafting and watching “Notting Hill”… my favorite lines from this movie are…
“I’m just a girl, standing in front of a boy, asking him to love her.”
“Happiness isn’t happiness without a violin-playing goat.”
I just love that movie.
I played with some new-ish CTMH paper, called Notebook that I’ve wanted to get my hands into… I just love all the vintage stuff right now. The image of the angel girls is from this site, and the sentiment stamps are from CTMH. The chipboard is Memory Makers (on clearance at Target). I used some colored pencils to color the girls a bit. This card makes me happy 🙂
Today I zipped over to Paper Depot in Minneapolis after work. It was my first time there, and it’s kind of hard to find, skirting downtown but I finally made it — St. Paul becomes increasingly Archivers-centric and it’s nice to go someplace different. They had a great stash of $0.10 a sheet papers so I picked up a little bundle, plus a cute acrylic Birdie stamp set from Hero Arts for this card. The flourish stamp is by CTMH. The stamp set came with the little flower gems, so I popped them on a button. Papers are by Carolee’s, CK and CTMH.
This is my take on a 2Sketches4You card by Julie Campbell. There are 2 sketches on this post and you will find this one if you scroll towards the bottom.
