I haven’t done a 2S4U challenge for awhile, so this was fun to do. Here is the sketch:
I am enjoying my new Copic markers – I liked “coloring in the lines” as a little girl, and this brings me back to that time a little bit! This is another Digital Stamp purchased from Digistamp Boutique. I’ve colored her in using my Copics, and the flower paper is DCWV. I’ve used a Martha Stewart border punch (who by the way I am now boycotting but that is another post for another day); SU! and CM punches; rub-ons from CTMH, pearlies and ribbon from my stash. This card is going to someone very special… I hope she knows I made it with lots of love. Thanks for looking!
I’m sitting at my desk by the window looking at 4′ tall berms of dirty snow alongside my front curb… there are coke-slurpee-like puddles in the street and under all that snow is the planter I put in last spring and I can’t wait to get flowers into it. It’s still at least two months until bulb flowers even have a chance at blooming! For me, February is the longest, not the shortest month! The card below is more for myself, but I’m sure I can think of somebody to send it to.
I recently purchased my first digital stamp from Bee-Crafty where there are some super sweet images. I also recently splurged on Copics, so I’m still getting my feet wet with those. Papers are Let’s Get Together by CTMH, with gems and ribbon from my stash.
My next card uses the same image and is my take on the CPS 153 sketch.
I used papers from Creating Keepsakes (from JoAnn’s), Heidi Grace rub-ons, a stamp from CTMH and some pearlies. I colored the girl in with Copics. Thanks for stopping by my blog today!
Since this is mainly a papercrafting blog and since I haven’t been doing a lot of papercrafting lately, I should put something here.
And what a something she is. This is who has been consuming my attention.
She just arrived on Monday. But I’ve been dreaming about her for years and years. And between home, work, and church and daydreaming about Addi, not a lot of papercrafting has been going on. I hope my scrapbooking will get a jumpstart with this wonderful new subject matter.
She is beautiful.
She is perfect.
She came into the world in an extraordinary way where we were privileged to witness miracles and the exponential infinity of God’s love for us. We’ve been given a witness of the power of prayer and what a blessing to know that people who don’t even know us were praying for us. How many temples held Shannon and Daren’s names on the temple roll? How many friends of friends put them on their prayer chain? How many knees were bent on their behalf? I can’t fathom it. I just know it worked. It worked. It was worth every prayer.
She has the two most devoted parents on the planet IMHO. She has the most remarkable birthmom who I pray for nothing less than God’s blessings every day for the rest of her life.
This is my new season in life as Addi’s grandma. God is faithful and true and knows me. I am so thankful that he let me see my beautiful daughter become a mom.
I am blessed beyond measure.
3 simple ingredients – some mini glue dots, googly eyes and a Mrs. Grossman’s Santa Hat sticker and you’re in business. Who says money has to be boring?
I haven’t done a challenge for awhile so everybody is gone from the house tonight – Peter on a business trip and Matt at play practice… so since I’m home alone… well I decided to play and do a 2S4U sketch of the week.
What’s old is new again… old stamp – 2000 from SU!, scrap papers and a small scrap of ribbon (save everything!). Noodled it up with my Cuttlebug swiss dots and some nesties, stickers, punches and gems.
Thanks for looking!
Less than 24 hours ago, I was just me.
Now I am an expectant grandmother. My heart is so full. I’ve dreamed of this since I was 6 years old. Seriously, since I was 6 years old. My wonderful grandmother was so much fun to be around I thought to myself, “I want to bake cookies all day and have my grandchildren come and stay at my house on Saturdays and Sundays and play with me. But I’m afraid my name doesn’t sound right. I don’t have a name like Doris or Dorothy or Mildred. I hope I can still be a grandma with a name like Susie.” That thought crossed my mind over 40 years ago.
With all Heavenly Father has to do for His children, I am overjoyed that he thought to bless my sweet daughter and son-in-law, and our family. But in all this, my heart is the most grateful for a beautiful and brave young woman who is choosing to make our dreams come true in less than 3 short months. I plead to the Heavens that the Lord keeps her safe in His tender care and showers His love down upon her every moment of every day.
My heart is filled to overflowing.
