Tonight I watched the Young Women’s General Conference of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints online. Even though it’s geared for the young women in the church aged 12-18, this older woman got a lot out of it… the theme was how to stand strong amidst the turmoil and temptation in the world. The talks were all excellent; something that Elaine S. Dalton said, about what God sees in each of us, inspired me to make this little card tonight.
I’ve used a digital stamp from Squigglefly, called “Princess Mia” and colored it in with my Copics. My paper is from DCWV, and I’ve used some Prima Flowers, buttons and Waxy Flax. I’ve also used the Fiskars Apron Lace punch, as well as my Nestabilities. The font that I used on my sentiment is called Rickles and it’s free from Dafont.
Thank you for looking at my blog today!
This is my first entry at Friday Sketchers – here is their sketch this week:
Here is my take on it… I love these rainbow sherbet colors, especially on a gray and dreary day like today!! This is a 5″x5″ card – my stamped image is a digi-stamp from Bee Crafty that I’ve colored in with Copics. I’ve mounted her on a die cut label that I cut out with my nesties and ran through the swiss dots embossing folder on my Cuttlebug. Papers are from CTMH, KI Memories and DCWV. Flower stickers are from K & Co. The “Just Because” sticker is from Stampendous.
Thanks so much for visting my blog today!
I haven’t done a 2S4U challenge for awhile, so this was fun to do. Here is the sketch:
I am enjoying my new Copic markers – I liked “coloring in the lines” as a little girl, and this brings me back to that time a little bit! This is another Digital Stamp purchased from Digistamp Boutique. I’ve colored her in using my Copics, and the flower paper is DCWV. I’ve used a Martha Stewart border punch (who by the way I am now boycotting but that is another post for another day); SU! and CM punches; rub-ons from CTMH, pearlies and ribbon from my stash. This card is going to someone very special… I hope she knows I made it with lots of love. Thanks for looking!
Here is the Mojo Monday Sketch #78…
I got some new Pink Cat Studio stamps and I thought I would try one out on this card. My papers are DCWV.
Thanks for looking!

I’ve been waiting a long time to scrap this picture. It’s a picture of my Great Aunt Nonie. She was my “3rd Grandma”. She was widowed in her 40’s and never had any children of her own but she treated all her grandnieces and grandnephews as if we were her own grandbabies. After my grandma passed away, I found this picture of Nonie, the one in the kitchen, mixer in hand… it looks professional to me, so I’m guessing she won some kind of cooking contest or had her picture in the paper or something.
I love doing heritage pages 🙂 I used CTMH and DCWV papers on this as well as some CTMH and Marcella by K chipboard. Also some die cut tags from Graphic 45. Buttons, ribbon as always from my overflowing stash.
